What Questions Do I Ask?

What is your rate structure?

Understanding what and how you will be billed is critical to make sure you stay within budget. It is also important to know when you might be charged extra.

Do you offer a guarantee for your services?

Any agency that does not offer a guarantee for their services should be suspect. How can you trust that the organization will support you and your family if they cannot guarantee their own services?

How are your Caregivers trained?

Caregivers must be trained to state licensing minimums. Often agencies provide additional training for specific diseases, conditions, or care types. Be sure to ask what training the caregivers undergo and how often they are retrained.

Do you offer any cost-effective remote or virtual options?

Ask if the agency can provide remote or virtual visits. This helps reduce the total spend and ensures someone is checking in on your family member often. Video is best so they can see and be seen.
